Selection procedure in the Civil Service

Everyone has the opportunity to join the Civil Service
Corps. To ensure high-quality personnel, future staff
members must pass a qualification procedure that selects
the very best professional, solid and loyal individuals
with the predisposition to work in public administration

Criteria for selection and recruitment

Polish citizenship

Holding full civil rights

Not being penalized for committing a wilful offence or a
wilful fiscal offence

Holding qualifications required for a given position

Enjoying an impeccable reputation

Criteria for higher positions

Holding an MA degree (or its equivalent)

Not being punished with a prohibition to hold managerial positions
in the public authority offices

Holding managerial skills

At least 6 years of professional experience , including 3 years of
experience on a managerial position in the public finance sector
units (position of the Civil Service Director of office)

At least 3 years of professional experience, including 1 year of
experience on a managerial position or 2 years of experience on the
individual position in the public finance sector units –(position
referred to in Article 52 item 2-4)
Meeting requirements specified in the description of the position


Directive 15 of the Civil Service Director of CSO dated on
17 May 2011 in the matter of standards of making
appointments of the deputy director of the department
or equivalent unit in CSO by way of transferring the
member of the staff of Civil Service


Position concerns only position of the deputy director of
department (or equivalent unit)

Fulfilling requirements related to the position regarding
both the employment in Civil Service as well as the
employment on a higher level position in Civil Service

Having recent positive appraisal on one of two highest
levels provided in evaluation scale (24 months preceding
transfer)
