Conduct PM2.5 Analysis Analyze the Plan and TIP for the PM2.5 mobile emissions 11/6/2015 Develop network for 2009 Inventory the number and location of non-road vehicles and engines Incorporate and test new PM2.5 software 7 4. Survey and Monitor Current Travel Patterns Household Travel Survey Last TPB Household Travel Survey was in 1994 Used to inform decision-makers and public about travel patterns and preferences Helps make travel forecasts more accurate Highway Performance Monitoring System (HPMS) Provides enhanced sample of traffic counting locations in TPB region Used to improve estimates of regional vehicle miles of travel (VMT) 11/6/2015 8 5. Technical Assistance to Implementing Agencies Increase funding for technical assistance to state transportation and transit agencies Work activities include assistance with corridor or sub-regional studies, traffic counts and data requests 11/6/2015 9 Next Steps December 2005: Board will be asked to approve amended FY 2006 UPWP document January 2006: Draft FY2007 UPWP budget outline presented to Board, reflecting continued SAFETEA-LU funding 11/6/2015 10
