BONUS+ QUT
System set up: jointly carried out by III, Bonus server
administrator, Bonus Coordinator and QUT
Profiling sheet: defines codes for bib location, bcode3,
icode2 and local patron and item types mapping to
central item and patron codes
Testing: Record load by III and testing with UNEWC
Training: Bonus server administrator and Bonus
Coordinator conduct hands on training
Procedures: Newcastle happily shared and then adapted
for QUT
Slide 10
QUT Launches BONUS+
Go Live set for Wednesday 14 July
Not successful. System-wide outage. Effected Webpac, Circ, ILL
and Program Registration – all down for entire day
Possible option was to do a full system restore but gave III time to
fix problem
Reason: Rel 2009A failed when interfacing with the deploy set
architecture – attributed to conflicts with Program Registration
module
Resolution: Partial patch to Rel 2009B as the deploy set
architecture more evolved. Full upgrade to 2009B done in
September.
Slide 11

Some Issues:
Changes were made to the BONUS+ login

QUT has to link to http site not https because
of our Internet and authentication process
Link to UNSW (InnReach link) stopped after
upgrade to 2009B but III forced a restart of this
link)
