History

Human Resource & Placement (HRP) is a fully owned subsidiary of S&IB Services
Pvt. Ltd. which was established in 1988 by a visionary, Mr Shyamal Karmakar. S&IB
started its journey from a humble single room office in Lake Town, Kolkata in 1988.
At present S&IB controls its operations from its five story S&IB House in Kolkata. It
has its City Office at Sarat Bose Road housing the HRP. It has its Training Centre at
Kasba and Branch offices at various locations across the country. The Company has
traversed an illustrious journey over the last two decades and a half and stands as
a symbol of trust. Now, S&IB is one of the best service providers in India in the field
of Security Solutions, Safety, Facility Management and Manpower deployment. S&IB
at present employs more than 14,000 people covering more than 1000 installations
spreading all over India. The annual revenue of S&IB is US$ 30 million.
About HRP

Human Resource & Placement (HRP) is the domestic & overseas recruitment
solutions wing of the S&IB Services. HRP is a well known HR company in India and
is a preferred HR service provider of many of leading companies like Cognizant,
TCS, L&T, Shapoorji & Pallonji, Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, in India. Its major services
are : 1) Permanent Placement, 2) Manpower Outsourcing, 3) Payroll Management,
and 4) Overseas Placements. HRP is approved by Ministry of Overseas Indian
Affairs, Govt. of India vide License No. 0349/KOL/PER/1000+/4-3/4/8140/2008 for
recruiting skilled and unskilled Indian workers abroad. HRP is actively engaged in
recruiting several thousands skilled Indian workers in the Gulf countries since 2008.
Its current annual revenue is US$ 3 million.

Our office is located in the central part of Kolkata city having full-fledged airconditioned office with all the essential communication facilities.

We have excellent arrangement for interviews at our office and we can also organize
interviews at Business Centres for the convenience of our clients if they so desire.

We have representatives at various locations in our country and mostly for trade
categories. We have been organizing interviews for client’s representatives in several
places in India since it has been our observation that certain trade categories with the
best skill are only available at certain locations in India. We also organize interviews
in other countries such as Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka depending on
the need and requirement of the client.

We have fully equipped trade test centres for all the trade categories to be tested at

Recruitment Procedure

To begin with, the employer and the HRP should execute an agency agreement
between them stating adequately the terms and conditions regarding demand and
supply of manpower from India. This agreement should be signed by both the
parties towards acceptance of stated terms and conditions upon which the
manpower trade will be executed .

(Employer Part)

Demand Letter : A Demand Letter addressed to us on the Employers
letterhead indicating the required Trade & Quantity Salary offered, Period of
contract, Normal working hours, Weekend holidays / Leave & Benefits,
Accommodation, Transportation, Food / Allowance, Medical Assistance,
Insurance and other benefits etc. Duly attested by Indian Embassy.

Power of Attorney: A Power of Attorney to be executed on the Employer’s
Letterhead authorizing us to be your recruitment agent duly attested by the
Indian Embassy.

Agreement of Employment :
This is a standard employment contract
between employer and employee in English & Arabic.




Visa Approval Slip Copy.
Employer has to provide us deployment schedule guidelines for recruities. As
we are legally bounded to the source country. The employer/sponsor should
provide us company business objectives, aims and project details.
Recruitment Procedure

(HRP Part)
Selection : We always prefer selection of applicant either by oral or practical test to be
conducted by the employer or his authorised representative. We arrange his /their
accommodation, transport and all other logistic support required for the purpose. In case
we are entrusted with the selection & testing of worker, we normally do it with the help of
a team of experts for technical & professional categories under direct supervision of our
professional executives.
Medical Checkup : After final selection we send the workers/ candidates for medical
check up by the authorised medical center of the respective Embassies of the country of
employment.
Application for visa : For selected candidates, we will apply for the visa in the
respective embassy as authorised by the employer.
Ticketing and Emigration : The employer may send PTA or remit necessary travelling
expenses in favour of HRP to facilitate travelling as scheduled. We obtain emigration
clearance from the concerned Govt. Dept. for the candidates.
Orientation before departure : HRP provides basic orientation to workers before
travelling abroad. The workers are informed about their duties and responsibilities while
abroad and a first hand information of work environment there & salient features of
labour laws of the country of employment.
