What is ICOP?
Industry Controlled:
- implies that the Aerospace Industry will be self-policing this
process.
- the control is given to membership of the IAQG, comprised of
the AAQG, EAQG and APAQG, which is restricted to
Aerospace OEMs and 1st Tier (major airframe/engine)
suppliers.
Other Party:
- implies something other than 2nd party auditing by OEMs
and something other than the 3rd party auditing by ISO
certification bodies & auditors
- implies the combination of 2nd & 3rd party audits controlled
by the Aerospace Industry IAW AS9104
ICOP is the globally harmonized Quality Management System
defined by the AAQG (AS9104)
