initialed a bilateral agreement to share access
to biometric data.

Ottawa recalls sensitive database in border
project

The Canadian Press
OTTAWA -- The federal government is repatriating a database of
personal information about Canadian citizens after warnings the
U.S. government might misuse it.
The database with details about several hundred British
Columbians was turned over to the U.S. Customs and Border
Protection agency last year as part of a controversial project to
issue "enhanced driver's licenses" instead of passports for landborder crossings.

“It is with my oath as a US intelligence officer
weighing heavy on my mind that I wish to
report to Congress acts that I believe are
unlawful and unconstitutional.
The freedom of the American people cannot
be protected when our constitutional liberties
are ignored and our nation has decayed into a
police state.”
Russell Tice, former NSA analyst who disclosed the NSA's wholesale intercepting of American's phone calls, emails and even
financial transactions.
