– Select the range
– On the Insert tab, in the Sparklines
group, click the Line button
– With the insertion point blinking in the
Location Range box, select the range
where you want the sparklines
– Click OK

– Start with a blank worksheet
– Enter the text, formatting, and formulas
needed for the specific worksheet
– Save the file as a template
• Saving a workbook as a template
adds the extension .xltx to the file

Protect a Worksheet
• By default, all cells are locked
– Data cannot be typed into them
– The locked feature is disabled until the
worksheet is protected.
• Some cells can be designated to be
unlocked
• Use a password to stop the disabling
of the protection
