PRECEDENTS: What makes interesting the
development of new solar technologies?
• Immediately after the last war in Iraq
and the recent nuclear crisis with
Iran, the price of the barrel of crude
oil is reaching prices never seen over
the 75$, now reaches 100$. In
addition the ghost of the oil resources
depletion, joined every time major
demand of crude oil from countries in
routes of industrialization, principally
China, is doing to that many
governments
are
decided
to
subsidize and promote new energy
sources.
PRECEDENTS: What makes interesting the
development of new solar technologies?
• Also it is necessary to keep in
mind the Protocol of Kyoto,
which puts up the price of the
energy obtained from methods
that generate CO2.
• These particular circumstances
can turn in short-term profitable
the
initiatives
based
on
renewable energies.
THE FIRST CONCLUSIONS:
Weak points in the existing solar systems
In the first moment three weak
points were identified in the
solar systems (Photovoltaic,
Stirling and Rankine)
1.- Very low performances,
specially in case of the
photovoltaic one.
2.- Very high prices, in all the
cases.
3.- Impossibility of profitable
accumulation on a large scale.

Higher efficiency than Stirling.
Silent operation.
Low maintenance.
It releases life of the components.
Few thermal efforts of the materials.
Flexibility in the dimensions of the
facilities.
• It can use others sources of heat.
• The system can even work 24 hours a
day, untying the hours of sun of the
productive schedule.
APLICATIONS
SOLAR ENERGY
• From 1 to 20 Kw. The potential of this commercial stratum is
enormous. The system would enter in direct competition with the
photovoltaic energy. However it overcomes it in performance, price
and production. New isolated urbanizations have been interested in
the installation of this system.
• From 20 to 100 Kw. An investment type in fashion is the installation
of 100 kw photovoltaic facilities. It supposes to attract investments
about 600.000 € dedicated to the photovoltaic. The system store
capacity makes the profitability multiplies.
• More than 100 Kw. In some cases the subsidized price of the
produced energy doesn't prevail, if not rather the generation capacity
or the energy independence. In these cases the suggested minimum
powers are of the order of 500 Kw. in a beginning, with clear
pretences for increasing powers.
APLICATIONS
OTHER AREAS
• Geothermal energy. The operation capacity of the
system at very low temperatures opens generation
fields where the turbines of vapor cannot work for
the drop temperature of the emanated water.
• Industrial recovery. Another option is recovery heat
from industrial processes, where them couches to
lose thermal energy, because an appropriate
system doesn't exist for its use.
• Cogeneration is another field not yet explored,
using vapor or hot water after being used by
turbines, in plants already existent, or in new ones.
APLICATIONS
OTHER AREAS
• A new option is implementing the
"E-atr" machine with energy storage
systems, opening a nonexistent
market as the accumulation to great
scale. The demand in this field will
be increased gradually with use of
the
discontinuous
renewable
energy sources, as the wind power,
in order to giving stability to the
distribution nets.
SUMMARY
• Low temperature thermoelectric solar power is a novelty that was
already being investigated by the industry. The invention of "E-atr"
engine with the accumulation system it is provided for us a clean
way to get potent, economic energy.
• The operation foundations are proven for years, using mature
technical. The technological risk doesn't exist.
• An entire series of companies and organisms are interested in
their development and commercial use.
• In definitive, novelties like "E-atr" engine are the best investment
that exists at the moment that will report big benefits to half term
and will give us a better world in a long term.
