IBO Mission Statement
• The International Baccalaureate aims to
develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring
young people who help to create a better
and more peaceful world through
intercultural understanding and respect.
• To this end the organization works with
schools, governments and international
organizations to develop challenging
programmes of international education and
rigorous assessment.
• These programmes encourage students
across the world to become active,
compassionate and lifelong learners who
understand that other people, with their
differences, can also be right.

IB School Focus
• IB focuses on whole person to create
inquiring, knowledgeable, and caring young

• Rigorous course of study for highly
motivated students.
• State curriculum taught through Areas of

• Intercultural Awareness.
IB Final Goal
11th and 12th Grade
– Student work graded on global standards by
assessors around the world.
– IB diploma is internationally honored by
universities as proof of academic excellence.
– Many schools(i.e. UT) offer college credit for
IB coursework.
– International Education-Global competition.
