OLWEUS Bullying Prevention Program

 Olweus is a district wide initiative for the prevention of bullying. It is the most researched and best known programs developed and available today. It was developed by Dr. Dan Olweus of Norway  The goal of OBPP is to change the norms around bullying behavior and to restructure the school setting itself so that bullying is less likely to occur or be rewarded. The implementation of OBPP is to be seen as a long-term effort- not something that is “completed” in a year. Definition of Bullying : When someone repeatedly and on purpose says of does mean or hurtful things to another person who has a hard time defending himself or herself.

How strict are you?

I am fair but consistent.

How demanding are you?

Here at John Drugan we believe in “Beyond Excellence” and I will do my best to follow through with the school’s expectations.

How do you implement effective classroom management?

I create a positive and encouraging environment which students will be allowed to learn through exciting and engaging activities through out the school day. These attributes help students in their Daily Behavior (Individual) and socially through the use of our Marble Jar System (Community).

Are you a parent?

Proud parent of soon to be two children!
