University Entrance Requirements from the 2008 admissions
To satisfy the minimum requirements for entrance to the University,
each applicant shall:
(1) gain in his first and/or second attempt in the HKCEE
(A) Level 3 or above in English Language
(B) Level 2 or above in Chinese Language
(C) Grade E or above in Mathematics
(D) Grade E or above in four other subjects
provided that achievements in any six of the subjects listed
above are obtained at one and the same time; and
(2) gain the following in HKALE:
(A) Grade D or above in AS Use of English
(B) Grade E or above in AS Chinese Language and Culture; and
(C) (i) Grade E or above in two AL subjects; or
(ii) Grade E or above in one AL subject, and in two AS
subjects other than Use of English and Chinese
Language and Culture; or
(iii) Grade E or above in four AS subjects other than Use
of English and Chinese Language and Culture
Candidates with Level 2 or above in English Language
but Grade C or above in AS Use of English will also
