Reading your gas meter
There are many different makes and models of meters, and they are measured in either metric or imperial.
Below is an example of each type.

To correctly read these meters just ignore
any digits which are red or in a red surround
You can see that the read on both meters
has now changed from 2785 to 3149

Submitting your reads
Submitting regular meter reads means we can invoice accurately and ensure we are collecting the right
amount of money from you.
All reads can be submitted through our online system called myReads, an example of this is shown
below:
Your meter point reference?
number is displayed on
your invoice
Your meter serial number ?
can be found on your meter
To ensure your reads are used for invoicing, please submit them from 1st to 3rd of each month.
