Early experiences
determine whether a
child’s developing
brain architecture
provides a strong or
weak foundation for
all future learning,
behavior, and health.
Good nutrition is the
cornerstone for healthy child
development.
Highly trained and
qualified early childhood
practitioners create long
term economic and
social benefits.
High-quality early
education programs
enhance child cognitive
and social development.
Parents need reliable,
affordable child care
when they work, and
also a safe place
where their children
can learn new skills.
Child Care Health
consultation is effective in
promoting specific health
practices in early childhood
programs including, safe
food handling, infection
control, infant sleep
position, and safe and
active play.
Research documents
that those states with
more effective regulatory
structures have a greater
supply of higher quality
programs.
Eating well can make a
positive difference in a
student’s ability to
achieve their full
academic and physical
potential.
