everyone

Can be used for anything from a personal
family homepage to Small business web
sites and Government applications

There are over 6,000 free and commercial
plugins available.

Between March 2007 and February 2011
there had been more than 21 million
downloads

My Opinion?

I think I would rather use Wordpress because it appears to be more user
friendly and better suited for personal websites and blogs as opposed to
business websites. Also It seems to be downloaded more often than Joomla,
implying that it is most likely the better choice.
