Save   the   date    for   the   Wetlands, Algae and Biogas –project’s Final Conference

The   28 th of   November   2012   in   Trelleborg,   Sweden

The   WAB ‐ project   is   a   Swedish ‐ Polish   cooperation   project,   which   aims   to   counteract   eutrophication   of   the   Baltic   Sea   and   produce   renewable   energy.

  At   the   conference   all   results   of   the   project   will   be   presented   by   the   project   partners.

  Subjects   include:   Biogas   from   algae  ‐ what   have   we   learnt?

  Counteracting   eutrophication   by   algae   collection,   Potential   for   farm   based   biogas   production   in   Pomerania,   Algae   forecasting   system   tested   in   Sopot,   Machines   for   collecting   algae   –results   from   tests   in   Sopot   and   Trelleborg,   and   the   Wetlands,   Algae,   Biogas   nutrient   cycle.

  How   to   follow   up   and   use   experience   gained   in   the   project.

BUCEFALOS

”Blue concept for a low nutirent/carbon system – regional aqua resource management” LIFE + projekt med Region Skåne, Malmö stad och Trelleborgs kommun. Totala budgeten är drygt 30 miljoner kr, Trelleborgs del är ca 18 miljoner . Projektet kommer demonstrera ett resurseffektivt utnyttjande av överflödig och odlad akvatisk biomassa för att producera biogas och skapa ett kretslopp av näringsämnen.

En viktig del i BUCEFALOS är att marknadsföra Skånes satsningar inom miljöområdet och deltagande partners kommer att arbeta för att sätta Skåne på kartan som europeiskt biogascentrum genom att bjuda in delegationer från andra länder för att visa anläggningarna och utbyta kunskap.
