PEGAS: New record volumes in March 2015 on the Spot and the
Derivatives Market
Leipzig, Paris, 9 April 2015 – PEGAS, the pan-European gas trading platform
operated by Powernext, announced that a total volume of 91.9 TWh was traded in
March 2015. This represents the highest monthly volume traded so far on the PEGAS
markets. This accounts for an increase of 15% compared to the previous record of 79.9
TWh in February 2015. Compared to the previous year, volumes almost doubled
(March 2014: 45.5 TWh).
Spot Markets
Trading volumes on the Spot Markets results in 41.2 TWh in March (March 2014: 18.9
TWh). The volume on the German spot markets (GASPOOL and NCG market areas)
amounted to 21.2 TWh (March 2014: 8.5 TWh) with a record on the NCG delivery zone
at 14.1 TWh (previous record: 12.0 TWh in January 2015). The total volume on the
German spot market includes 5.5 TWh traded in quality-specific gas products.
10.1 TWh were traded on the French spot market areas PEG Nord, PEG Sud, PEG
TIGF and TRS (March 2014: 7.6 TWh). The new TRS hub has replaced PEG Sud and
PEG TIGF since 31 March 2015. The volume on the Dutch TTF spot market reached
9.5 TWh (March 2014: 2.8 TWh). The Belgian ZTP spot market registered a record
volume of 441,524 MWh (previous record: 333,564 MWh in February 2015). The new
NBP market area which was launched on 26 March registered a total volume of 7,327
MWh. The total volume of spread transactions amounted to 2.6 TWh.
Derivatives Markets
In March, trading volumes on the PEGAS Derivatives Markets reached a new record of
50.7 TWh (March 2014: 26.6 TWh). This represents an increase of 19% compared to
previous record of 42.5 TWh set in February 2015. The volume on the German Futures
markets amounted to 9.6 TWh (March 2014: 12.4 TWh). A volume of 7.3 TWh was
traded in the French market areas (March 2014: 4.1 TWh). The Dutch TTF Futures
market registered the highest trading volume so far with 33.7 TWh (March 2014: 10.0
TWh), which represents an increase of 14% compared to the previous record (February
2015: 29.6 TWh). The new financial products for the Italian PSV market area which
were launched on 26 March registered a total volume of 145,440 MWh. In March, the
total amount of spread transactions reached 3.7 TWh. The volume from Trade
Registration attained 5.8 TWh which includes 1.6 TWh which were registered for
clearing through the new Straight-Through Processing service.

PEGAS: März 2015 mit neuen Rekordvolumina am Spot- und
Terminmarkt
Leipzig, Paris, 9. April 2015 – Im März 2015 wurde auf PEGAS, der von Powernext
betriebenen Gashandelsplattform, ein Volumen von insgesamt 91,9 TWh gehandelt und
damit ein neuer Monatsrekord erzielt. Das bisherige Rekordvolumen von 79,9 TWh im
Februar 2015 wurde damit um 15 % gesteigert. Gegenüber dem Vorjahresmonat hat
sich das Volumen nahezu verdoppelt (März 2014: 45,5 TWh).
Spotmärkte
An den Gas-Spotmärkten belief sich das Volumen im März auf 41,2 TWh (März 2014:
18,9 TWh). Das Volumen in den deutschen Marktgebieten GASPOOL und NCG betrug
21,2 TWh (März 2014: 8,5 TWh) mit einem neuen Rekord im Marktgebiet NCG von
14,1 TWh (bisheriger Rekord: 12,0 TWh im Januar 2015). Das Gesamtvolumen des
deutschen Spotmarktes enthält 5,5 TWh aus dem Handel mit qualitätsspezifischen
Gasprodukten. In den französischen Marktgebieten PEG Nord, PEG Süd, PEG TIGF
und TRS wurden im März 10,1 TWh gehandelt (März 2014: 7,6 TWh). Das neue
Marktgebiet TRS ersetzt seit dem 31. März die Marktgebiete PEG Süd und PEG TIGF.
Das Volumen am niederländischen TTF-Spotmarkt belief sich auf 9,5 TWh (März 2014:
2,8 TWh). Am belgischen ZTP-Spotmarkt wurde im März mit 441.524 MWh ein neuer
Höchstwert umgesetzt (bisheriger Rekord: 333.564 MWh im Februar 2015). Im Handel
für das britische Marktgebiet NBP, der am 26. März gestartet wurde, wurden 7.327
MWh umgesetzt. Das Volumen in den Spread-Produkten am Spotmarkt belief sich auf
2,6 TWh.
Terminmärkte
Die PEGAS-Terminmärkte erreichten im März mit 50,7 TWh einen neuen Rekord (März
2014: 26,6 TWh). Dies entspricht einem Anstieg von 19 % im Vergleich zum bisherigen
Rekord (Februar 2015: 42,5 TWh). In den deutschen Marktgebieten wurde ein Volumen
von 9,6 TWh erreicht (März 2014: 12,4 TWh). In den französischen Marktgebieten
wurden im März insgesamt 7,3 TWh gehandelt (März 2014: 4,1 TWh). Am
niederländischen TTF-Terminmarkt wurde mit 33,7 TWh (Vorjahresmonat: 10,0 TWh)
ein neuer Monatsrekord festgestellt, der 14 % über dem bisherigen Monatshoch von
29,6 TWh im Februar 2015 lag. Im neuen finanziellen Produkt für das italienische
Marktgebiet PSV, das am 26. März gestartet wurde, wurde ein Volumen von 145.440
MWh erreicht. In den Spread-Produkten wurden im März 3,7 TWh gehandelt. Das
Volumen aus Trade Registration belief sich auf 5,8 TWh, wovon 1,6 TWh über den
neuen Straight-Through Processing Service zum Clearing registriert wurden.

PEGAS: nouveau mois record de volume en mars 2015 sur les
marchés spot et dérivés
Leipzig, Paris, 9 avril 2015 – PEGAS, la plateforme de négociation du gaz
paneuropéenne gérée par Powernext fait part d’un volume total négocié de 91,9 TWh
en mars 2015. Cela représente le plus gros volume jamais traité sur les marchés de
PEGAS, avec une augmentation de 15 % par rapport au record précédent de 79,9 TWh
atteint en février 2015 et près du double du volume négocié en mars 2014 (45,6 TWh).
Marchés spot
Le volume négocié sur les marchés spot a atteint un nouveau pic à 41,2 TWh en mars
(18,9 TWh en mars 2014), ce qui équivaut au niveau record mensuel précédent établi
en janvier 2015. Le volume négocié sur les marchés spot allemands (zones de marché
GASPOOL et NCG) s’est élevé à 21,2 TWh (8,5 TWh en mars 2014), avec un record
de 14,1 TWh sur la zone de livraison NCG (précédent record : 12 TWh en janvier
2015). Le volume total sur le marché spot allemand inclut 5,5 TWh négociés en produits
gaz haute et basse qualités. 10,1 TWh ont été négociés sur les zones de marché spot
françaises (PEG Nord, PEG Sud, PEG TIGF, TRS), (7,6 TWh en mars 2014). Le
nouveau hub TRS a remplacé les zones PEG Sud et TIGF depuis le 31 Mars 2015. Le
volume traité au TTF néerlandais a atteint 9,5 TWh (2,8 TWh en mars 2014). Le
marché spot belge au ZTP a enregistré un volume record de 441 524 MWh (précédent
record de 333 564 MWh en février 2015). La nouvelle zone de marché NBP lancée le
26 mars a enregistré un volume total de 7 327 MWh. Le volume total des transactions
sur les spreads a atteint 2,6 TWh.
Marchés dérivés
En mars, le volume négocié sur les marchés dérivés de PEGAS a franchi un nouveau
record de 50,7 TWh (26,7 TWh en mars 2014), soit une augmentation de 19% comparé
au record précédent de 42,5 TWh établi en février 2015. Le volume traité sur les
marchés dérivés allemands s’est élevé à 9,6 TWh (12,4 TWh en mars 2014). Sur les
zones de marché françaises, un volume de 7,3 TWh a été négocié (4,1 TWh en mars
2014). Le marché dérivé au hub néerlandais TTF a enregistré son plus haut volume
avec 33,7 TWh (10 TWh en mars 2014), ce qui représente une augmentation de 14%
par rapport au record précédent établi à 29,6 TWh. Les nouveaux contrats financiers
lancés le 26 mars sur la zone PSV en Italie, ont ont eux un total traité de 145 440 MWh.
En mars, les transactions sur les spreads ont totalisé un volume de 3,7 TWh. Le volume
des transactions OTC compensées a lui atteint 5,8 TWh, dont 1,6 TWh conclus pour la
première fois par le biais du service d’enregistrement Straight Trough Processing.
