１．開講コース、プログラム期間

TUAT AIMSプログラムでは、以下の２つのコースを開講しています。
 Advanced Environmental Agriculture & Food Technology Course
(Faculty of Agriculture)
 Environment-friendly Technological Innovation Course (Faculty of
Engineering)

プログラム期間は、2015.9.7～2015.12月下旬 / 2016.1月です。

この期間は、３つのフェーズに分けられます。
 事前・共通教育
 専門教育
 ラップアッププログラムです。

修了要件は以下のとおりです。
 「事前・共通科目」の履修（6単位）
 「専門科目」の履修（14単位）
 ラップアップ・プログラムの受講

所属大学のアカデミック・カレンダーとの関係上、上記プログラム期間が終
了する前に帰国する必要がある場合には、調整することが可能ですので、
事前に申し出てください。
２．受入決定までの手続き

TUAT AIMSプログラム2015に応募する学生は、2015.5.29(金)までに、
すべてのApplication Formを遅滞なく提出してください。

受入が決定したら、６月中旬までにACCEPTANCE LETTERを送付しま
す。
１．Program Courses and Term

TUAT provides the following two Program Courses for AIMS:
 Advanced Environmental Agriculture & Food Technology Course
(Faculty of Agriculture)
 Environment-friendly Technological Innovation Course
(Faculty of Engineering)

These programs will start from September 7th, 2015 and end at
December 2015 / January 2016.
The term is split into three phases:
 Preparatory / Common Course Subjects
 Specialized Subjects
 Wrap-up Program
Requirements for Course Completion
 Completion of Preparatory/ Common Subjects (6 Credits)
 Completion of Specialized Subjects (14 credits)
 Attendance to Wrap-up Program



In case you need to return home before the end of the term, due to
your home institution’s academic calendar, please inform in advance.
Adjustments may be made accordingly.
２．Procedures prior to Acceptance to the
Program


For application to TUAT AIMS Program 2015, ALL necessary
application documents should be submitted by Friday, May 29th,
2015 to below address.
Upon acceptance to the program, an ACCEPTANCE LETTER will be
sent to you by mid June.
３．受入決定後の手続き


受入が決定し、ACCEPTANCE LETTERを受領した学生は、現地日本大
使館でのVISA申請のため、CoE（Certificate of Eligibility）の申請手続き
をします。この手続きは農工大が行います。費用はかかりません。
CoEが発行されたら、VISA申請が可能となります。CoEのオリジナルを郵
送しますので、現地の日本大使館にてVISA発行の手続きを行ってくださ
い。（７月中旬）
【手続きのフロー】
 東京農工大学から入国管理局へCoEの代理申請
 入国管理局にてCoEが発行され、東京農工大学が受領
 申請者あてに、CoEを国際郵便にて送付
 各自で、日本大使館へ申請
 在留資格認定証明書（CoE）
 パスポート
 その他



【査証】
 「出入国管理及び難民認定法（入管法）」に基づき、日本に入国しようとする外国人
は、原則として、自国政府の発給する有効な旅券と、日本国政府の発給する査証
を受けたものを所持した上で来日する必要があります。
 受入外国人本人が、在外公館（大使館、領事館）にてVISA申請の手続きを行う必
要があります。必要な書類は、事前に在外公館に問い合わせてください。日本に到
着した後に取得することはできません。
【在留資格認定証明書】
 在留資格認定証明書（CoE）は、日本に入国しようとする外国人が，入国の条件に
適合しているかどうかを法務大臣が事前に審査し、この条件に適合すると認めら
れる場合に交付されるものです。
 在外公館（大使館または領事館）にCoEを提示して査証の発給申請をした場合に
は、査証の発給は迅速に行われます。また、入国時にCoEを提示することにより、
空港等における上陸審査も簡易で迅速に行われます。
 在留資格認定証明書の有効期間は、交付日より３ヶ月間で、この有効期間内に日
本に入国しなければ無効となります。
３．Procedures after Acceptance to the Program


Students accepted to the Program will have to apply for VISA*1 at
Japanese embassy/consulate at own home country. In order to apply for
the VISA, first you will need a Certificate of Eligibility (COE*2). This
document is issued upon application at Tokyo Immigration Bureau in Japan
and will be done by TUAT on your behalf, based on information provided in
your application. No fee is required.
Once the COE is issued, TUAT will send the original to you or to your home
institution. Please submit the COE along with other required documents to
local Japanese embassy/consulate to proceed with your visa application
(mid July).
【Procedural Flow】

Application of COE to Tokyo Immigration Bureau (by TUAT on behalf of
applicants)

COE issued by Tokyo Immigration Bureau (sent to TUAT by mail)

COE sent to applicants (sent by TUAT by international express mail)

VISA application at Japanese embassy/consulate at your home country (by
each applicant). Necessary documents:
 Certificate of Eligibility (COE)
 Passport
 Among other documents


VISA issued by Japanese embassy/consulate at your home country (VISA
pickup by applicants)
Arrival to Japan
【*1 VISA】

Based on the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act, in principle a foreign
nation wishing to enter Japan is required to have a valid passport issued by the
government of their country with a visa issued by the Government of Japan

Foreign nationals wishing to enter Japan have to apply for a visa at Japanese
embassy or consulate in their home country. Please consult for required documents
at the embassy/consulate beforehand. Visas cannot be obtained after arriving in
Japan.
【*2 Certificate of Eligibility (COE)】

A COE is issued before a visa application, by a regional immigration authority under
the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Justice as evidence that the foreign national meets
the conditions for entering Japan.

A foreign national in possession of COE can get a VISA more easily from a Japanese
embassy /consulate within the standard processing period. If the COE is shown to
the immigration officer at ports of entry, landing application process may be simplified
and faster.

The COE expires within 3 months after the date of issue. If the applicant does not
enter Japan during the valid period, the COE will become invalid.
４．渡日に当たって～入居可能日、ピックアップ～

入居可能日は、2015.8.27(木) 以降です。あらかじめ指定した以下の日
程・時間帯に入居してください。

2015.8.27(木)、8.28(金)、8.31(月)、9.1(火) の9:00～17:00

土日に渡日する場合、宿舎への到着が遅くなる（17:00以降）場合には、当日中に宿舎への入居はで
きません。なお、その場合のホテル等宿泊の紹介は可能ですが、手配は、本人が行うこととなります。
（参考：JR国分寺駅周辺のビジネスホテルは、ツインルームの場合、１人当たり約7,000円です）

成田空港、羽田空港からキャンパスまでのピックアップの詳細については、
７月中旬にお知らせします。ピックアップについては、国際交流課のスタッ
フ、バディ学生がサポートします。

空港（成田、羽田）からキャンパスのまでの交通費は、片道3,000円～
4,000円です。
５．海外旅行傷害保険への加入

自国で各保険会社の海外旅行傷害保険に加入する必要があります。基
本的に来日後には保険加入はできません。
６．在留カードの交付

上陸許可後にその場で、「在留カード」が交付されます（成田空港、羽田空
港、中部空港および関西空港より入国の場合）。

このカードは、入国時に「３か月」以下の在留期間が決定された方や「短
期滞在」の在留資格が決定された方には交付されません。

その他の空海港から入国した方（例：福岡空港、博多港）には、その場で
は在留カードは交付されません。その代わり、パスポートに上陸許可の証
印が押され、その近くに『在留カード後日交付』と記載されます。
４．Upon Arrival to Japan : Accommodation and Airport Pickup

You may move into the residence after Thursday, August 27th, 2015.
Please note the designated move-in dates and time as below.
 August 27 (Thu), August 28 (Fri), August 31 (Mon), and September 1 (Tue),
2015, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
 In case your arrival to TUAT residence is after 5 pm on weekdays or on
Saturdays and Sundays, you CANNOT move into the residence on the same
day. Please note that YOU will have to make the reservation AND payment
for your accommodation on your own for that day (TUAT can recommend
hotels nearby the campus, but cannot make reservations for you).
 Price range of twin room at hotel at Kokubunji Station: 7,000JPY+/person


Details of pickup service from Narita or Haneda International Airport
to TUAT Campuses will be announced in mid-July. International
Affairs Office staff and/or Buddy students will be supporting the
pickup.
Transportation charge from airports (Narita, Haneda) to TUAT
Campuses is JPY 3,000 to 4,000 one way.
５．Overseas Travel Insurance

Please join the overseas travel insurance at your home country. In
general, you cannot buy travel insurance once you leave your home
country.
６．Residence Card (Zairyu Card)



Residence card is issued upon your arrival to Japan and entry
through Narita, Haneda, Chubu, or Kansai International Airports.
This card will NOT be issued for foreign nationals with resident
permit of less than 3 months or short stay permit.
If you are entering Japan via other ports of entry (i.e. Fukuoka Airport,
Port of Hakata), seal of landing permission is stamped on your
passport, with the statement of “Residence Card will be issued at a
later date”.
７．各種手続きの案内

日本に入国する外国人は、以下の手続きをする必要があります。こ
れらの手続きについては、渡日後、国際交流課のスタッフ、バディ学
生がサポートします。
 住民登録
 国民健康保険の加入
 学生教育研究災害傷害保険（学研災）への加入
 学生賠償責任保険（学賠）への加入

なお、それぞれの手続きの概要と、かかる費用は以下のとおりです。
【住民登録】費用：なし

新しく日本へ入国した方は、入国後、住居地を定めた日から14日以内に、住居地の市区町
村窓口にて、各市区町村が定めた様式を用いて住居地の届出を行う必要があります。
【国民健康保険の加入】費用：４か月で3,000～4,000円

３か月以上の期間の在留資格を有する外国人は、「国民健康保険」に加入することになっ
ています。

国民健康保険に加入していると、日本国内において病気やケガをし、保険医療機関の指定
を受けている病院等で治療を受けた場合、治療にかかった医療費、処方された薬の購入
の自己負担が30％になります。

この保険に加入するには、月々の保険料が必要です（月額約1,000円）

手続きは、住居地のある市町村の国民健康保険担当課で行い、手続きから数日後に「国
民健康保険証」が本人宛てに郵送されますので、保管してください。
【学生教育研究災害傷害保険（学研災）】費用：1.000円

東京農工大学では、大学の授業中あるいは課外活動中の不慮の災害・事故によって学生
が傷害を受けた場合の救済措置として、「学生教育研究災害傷害保険制度」への全学生
の加入を義務付けています。

万一の場合に備え、日本への到着後速やかに学生は全員加入する必要があります。
【学生賠償責任保険（学賠）】費用：1,040円＋5,000円（Deposit）

学生賠償責任保険は、他人に対し賠償する責任が生じたときに保障される保険です。

日常生活において、他人にケガをさせてしまったり、他人の物や実験器具を壊してしまった
ときに請求される治療費や修理費用などを保障します。
７．Legal Procedures and Student Insurances


International students residing in Japan need to complete the
following legal procedures. International Affairs Office staff and
Buddy students will support you to complete the process after your
arrival in Japan.

Resident Registration

National Health Insurance

Personal Accident Insurance for Students Pursuing Education and Research

Personal Liability Insurance for Students
Specific procedure and expenses are as follows:
【Resident Registration】 Expense: none

Within 14 days after determining your residence in Japan, you must take your
residence card to your local city office and report your new address using designated
forms.
【National Health Insurance】 Expense: JPY 3,000-4,000 for 4 months

International students with resident permit of 3 months or longer must join the
National Health Insurance Program.

Under the coverage of the National Health Insurance, you will need to pay only 30%
of the medical treatment expenses (including prescribed medication) when you are
sick or injured in Japan and receive treatment at a registered hospitals/institutions.

To join the insurance, you will need to pay a monthly premium (about 1,000
yen/month)

For procedures to join the insurance, please consult with your local city office. The
insurance card will be sent to you within few days after completion of the procedure.
【Personal Accident Insurance for Students Pursuing Education and
Research (Gakkensai)】
Expense: JPY1,000

TUAT requires all its students to join the Personal Accident Insurance for Students
Pursuing Education and Research, which covers you against physical injuries arising
from unexpected accidents during your education, research and extracurricular
activities.

All students must join the insurance immediately after their arrival in Japan.
【Personal Liability Insurance for Students (Gakubai)】
Expense: JPY1,040+ JPY5,000 (deposit)

The Personal Liability Insurance covers damages to third parties for which the
students may be held legally liable to pay in Japan or abroad.

This insurance guarantees payments related to liable injuries of third parties or
damages to any property belonging to third parties during curricular activities, extra
curricular activities, school events and commuting.
８．宿舎
【入居期間】

入居期間は、2015.8.27(木) ～ 2016.1.29(金) です。
【宿舎のタイプ】

東京農工大の宿舎は４種類あります。
 府中国際交流会館（Single room）
 府中職員宿舎（Share house）
 小金井国際交流会館（Single room）
 小金井府中職員宿舎（Share house）

入居する宿舎のタイプは、受入決定後にお知らせします。
【設備】

冷蔵庫、ガスコンロ、洗濯機、掃除機、ガスヒーター、扇風機

勉強机、椅子、電気スタンド、個人用ロッカー

ふとん
【寄宿料その他費用】

宿舎への入居者は、以下の費用を支払う必要があります。
 寄宿料：6,000～10,000円/月（宿舎によって異なります）
 宿舎修繕費（清掃費）：15,000円（トータル）
 月々の光熱水費（電気、ガス、水道）：3,000円～4,500円/月
９．AIMS学生向け奨学金

東京農工大学では、経済的な理由によって、学業に専念できなくな
ることがないよう、AIMS学生向けに奨学金の制度（約8,000円/月）を
設けています。

受入が決定した後、別途申請が必要です。申請の結果が認められ
れば、奨学金が支給されます。
８．Accommodations
【Period of Residence】
 From Thursday, August 27, 2015 to Friday, January 29, 2016.
【Type of Residence】
 We have four options of on-campus residence.
 Fuchu International House (Single room)
 Fuchu Staff Residence (Share house)
 Koganei International House (Single room)
 Koganei Staff Residence (Share house)
 Your residence will be informed upon your acceptance to the
Program.
【Facilities】
 Refrigerator, Gas Stove, Washing Machine, Vacuum Cleaner, Gas
Heater, Ventilator
 Desk, Chair, Desk Light, Individual Locker
 Japanese style mattress (futon) and coverlet/comforter
【Accommodation Charge and Other Expenses】
 To stay at on-campus residence, you will need to pay the following:
 Accommodation charge: JPY 6,000-10,000/month (differs
depending on the residence)
 Cleaning/ Repair expense: JPY 15,000 (total)
 Monthly utility expense (electricity, gas, water)： JPY 3,000 -4,500
/month)
９．Scholarship for AIMS Students


TUAT provides scholarship for AIMS students (Approx. JPY
8,000/month) to alleviate financial difficulty and support studies in
Japan.
To receive TUAT scholarship, please submit separate application
upon your acceptance to the Program. The scholarship will be
granted to those passing the screening process.


履修登録、履修計画については、受入が決定した後、AIMSプログラ
ムコーディネーターより連絡します。
