Introduction
What are kaonic nuclei (K nuclei)?
K- meson is bound in a nucleus by strong interaction.
cf) Kaonic atom
K- meson is around a nucleus, bound by Coulomb interaction.
K nuclei can exist as discrete states,
since K- meson is deeply bound below Σπ threshold.

G-matrix

G-matrix

Result obtained so far is …
Self-consistency on the energy-dependence of the KN potential
is taken into account.
The total binding energy is 42 ~ 76 MeV,
when the range parameter of KN potential
changes from 1.00 fm to 0.67 fm.
There exists a lower limit in the range parameter
due to the self consistency.
The mean distance between the two nucleons is larger than 1fm.
However, the KN potential used there has so called
“Double Counting Problem”,
because it was derived from the t-matrix …

• The solution of ppK- is almost independent of the range parameter
of the KN potential, and also of the parameter γ0.
• But the total binding energy is very small, about 20 MeV.

Double
Counting Problem”
