agenda is to protect dignity and honour of the people of the State.
"Our agenda is to protect
dignity and honour of the
people of Jammu and
Kashmir and to provide
justice to all sections of
the society," Suram said
while addressing public
meetings in Nai Basti,
Gajansoo, Gangho Chack
and Sinliyan of Marh
Assembly.
"Attaining power was not
the only aim of PDP.
Unlike other parties PDP
has never compromised
with its agenda," he
stressed.
Reiterating commitment
of PDP to formulate a
comprehensive policy for
all-round growth and
uplift of the far-flung
areas, Suram said lopsided
policies propagated by the
successive governments
have deprived opportunities of development and
growth to huge chunk of
the population.
"Unfortunately, our successors failed to carry forward that agenda of inclusive growth and development," he said.
He reminded the people
that it was during three
years tenure of Mufti led
PDP Government that the
policy of inclusive growth
and development was
implemented which yielded
very encouraging results.
Suram assured the people that besides accelerating developmental activities in this most backward
and poverty stricken areas
of Jammu and Kashmir,
PDP would also empower
ethnic
and
religious
minorities of this belt to
provide them equal opportunities.
He also promised to create job avenues for unemployed youth of this belt.

joint meeting of Zonal and Sectoral
Magistrates and Zonal and Sector
Police Officers already appointed for
the Reasi district, here today.

of the Assembly elections in the district. He said that each Magistrate
should be well versed with the location of polling station, collection
centers, route map, sector, transport
and communication plans.
Bhatt asked the Magistrates to
ensure that Model Code of Conduct
was not to be violated by anyone in
the process of election.
He further asked them to flash
reports to his office from time to
time. Information regarding the
start of poll, time of first vote cast,
oldest person, handicapped casting
votes and closing of poll to be
flashed at regular intervals.
SSP Reasi also briefed the participants about their responsibilities as
Zonal and Sector Officers for the
fair and smooth conduct of the elections and stressed upon to work with
zeal and dedication on the assigned
duties as per the directions and
guidelines of the ECI.
It was revealed in the meeting that
polling would start at 8:00 AM and
culminate at 4:00 PM. In all the
three Assembly segments 2,37,584
voters including 1,11,889 female
voters would exercise their right of
franchise on 2nd Dec at 403 polling
stations.

In his condolence message,
Vice Chancellor Prof Irshad

shock over the untimely
demise of baby daughter of
Harjeet Thapa and expressed
condolence and sympathy
with the bereaved family. He
also prayed to Almighty to
give patience to Harjeet
Thapa and his wife for bearing the great loss.
