Admission
A candidate to be eligible for admission to M. Com.
degree programme, must have passed the qualifying
examination in commerce stream i.e. B. Com. The
candidate with following qualifications shall also be
eligible and considered for admission against 5% each
of the total number of seats in the programme.
(a) Having passed B.A./B.Sc. examination in Ist Division.
(b) Having passed one year degree programme in
Diploma in Business Administration with atleast 48% of
the
aggregate
marks,
after
graduation
(c) Having passed B.B.A examination.

The Department is currently running the following courses :
Two-years Master's Degree Programme in Commerce
(Four Semesters)
One-year Programme in M.Phil (Two semesters)
Pre Ph.D and Ph.D courses.
Other Activities: The Department in addition to the

Dr Sitaram Sharma , PhD Scholar of our Department, is teaching
in University of Almaya, Ethopia.
Several of our students have been inducted in the semi govt.
and govt. jobs and are holding key positions.
A number of our students are working in the Corporate sector
in such companies as the HEG Ltd., Citi Bank, Thompson India
Ltd. and Oswal Group, Genpact etc.
A number of our students are self engaged and are practicing
professional Chartered Accountants, Cost Accountants and
Company Secretaries.

SPECIAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAMME-DRS
SAP in Commerce was given in the thrust area of Service
Marketing with a financial support of Rs. 30.95 lakhs from
UGC for three years w.e.f
April 2004. It was further
upgraded to the level of DRS of UGC’s SAP Scheme. Till
date, a number of academic activities have been organized
under the scheme:
