This course is an
introduction to several
religions. We will
investigate the primary
sources by reading
excerpts of the sacred
documents and
critically analyze their
impact on modern
society.
Introduction
The course begins by
examining the 11
common factors to all
major religions.
This will provide the basis
for examining world
religions.
This chapter investigates
the various beliefs on the
creation of the earth,
rituals, and the purpose
of life
Students will work in pairs
to present an aspect of
native spirituality and its
relevance today

Students will
investigate the writing
of Moses and learn of
the stories of
Abraham, David and
Solomon.

The Torah will provide
insights into the faith
and students will learn
the 10
commandments.


Students will explore
the good news of
Jesus as written by
his disciples.
Students will explore
his relationship with
God, the Holy Spirit,
prayer, judgement
day and the history
of the Christian
church
Students will
explore the
history of Islam
and the
principles of
Islam.
 Students will
explore the
beliefs, the
Koran, the
festivals and
pilgrimages.



Students will complete a major research
assignment on a famous person of faith.
Students will develop critical thinking skills
and research methodologies.
