PHYSICAL SECURITY

 Most of our facilities have been constructed or renovated within the last 15 years and are:      Designed with Security in Mind Entry Doors and Main Office Placement Natural Surveillance and Plantings Interior and Exterior Lighting Well Maintained Facilities and Grounds    Students and Staff Take Ownership Trimmed Trees and Bushes Quickly addressed maintenance issues

 Updated door hardware, locks and keys  Electronic Access Control Systems   Staff and Registered Contractors are provided Access Badges Visitors are Registered

 Updated door hardware, locks and keys  Electronic Access Control Systems    Staff and Registered Contractors are provided Access Badges Visitors are Registered Camera Systems   Entry to Buildings and some interior spaces are live and recorded Controlled and Viewable from Main Office and District Operations

 Crisis Response Plans   Documented and Tested Plans Medical Response Plans   Documented plans to respond to on-site Medical Issues Fire Safety   Regular evacuation drills Bus & Van Safety    Regular Evacuation Drills Driver Training Programs Lockdown Procedures  Continuous Training

IMMEDIATE ACTIONS  Increased Police and Safety Presence  Review of Physical Security Systems     Tested Doors and Locks Tested Access Systems Tested Camera Systems Enhanced Building Signage     Added additional signage at each entry Adding “Closed and Locked” signage to each door See Something / Say Something Campaign Training and Development   Met with Cleaning Contractor Reminder Message sent to District Staff
