Transition
– Thank you for your patience. In terms of Sixth Form,
only the Café is yet to be completed
– Lessons have not been disrupted at all
• Education
– It is a large leap from GCSE to AS, so please be aware
that some girls may feel anxious on occasions. It is
completely natural.
– The girls are enjoying small class sizes, and look lovely
in the new blazers
• Privileges
– Students are now able to leave at lunchtime. They
must continue to represent the school in the excellent
way that they have done so far.
Careers Guidance/ UCAS
• Not only do we have the services of Mr Young who has
worked with the school for a number of years, we also
have consultancy from Mrs Streatfield, who has many
years’ experience and who has close contacts with
universities nationally and internationally
• She has already worked with to tutors on their role in
the process, will be leading personal statement writing
training with girls, and will be leading an UCAS
information eve for parents/ students later in the year
• In the process of identifying or for some, confirming
careers choices so that they have further structured
and guided support.
Enrichment

Universities receive on average 7 applications per place so we
understand that it is important for girls to have a broad range of
opportunities and skills.
As well as all the usual opportunities with sport, drama and music

• Streamed TED talks
• Outreach events at universities and other institutions

please let us know if you feel that we need to
know something that is affecting your daughter’s
progress
– We will inform you if there are any problems or if
