Enrichment & Academic Teams
Typically, students share five common core
teachers who plan different activities for them
during team planning time.
Advisory period is a
homeroom time where
student’s receive paperwork,
catch up on work, and
participate in other school
wide activities.
What is a PAP class?





PAP stands for Pre-Advanced Placement.
AP or Advanced Placement classes are available to high
school students who want to take the College Board AP
exam in a subject area to earn college credit.
At the junior high level, we offer PAP courses to give a
faster paced, advanced curriculum for GT and advanced
students.
These courses are extremely fast paced and held to a
higher standard. Student’s are expected to have more
homework and a more rigorous level of learning than the
regular class.
Students will need a teacher recommendation, 88 or
above average and a contracted signed by Parent and
Student.

SCHEDULE CHANGES???
It is important that course selection be given serious consideration.
Please Understand: Junior High students are only guaranteed their first
choice in electives. After that, it is up to class sizes and periods as to where
you are placed. Athletics, Band, and Choir count as elective first choices.
We will do our best to place students in their desired courses, however this
is not always possible.
After school begins, schedule changes will be made only to correct errors or
equalize class sizes. A parent’s signature on the course selection card
indicates agreement with the courses that were selected.
PLAN CAREFULLY!!!
