Bennett Family

Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve 2001 Napa Valley

With over a century of experience in the wine and spirits business, William Grant and Sons has been dedicated to hand selecting an excellent portfolio of wines from around the world. We are proud to bring that same expertise to the Napa Valley to create Bennett Family Cabernet Sauvignon. Working with some of the best talent in the region, we’ve made this wine using hand selected grapes from the finest vineyards. The result is a wine of uncompromised quality, a wine worthy of our family’s heritage.

Following a 7 day fermentation, the wine was left on the skins for a period of extended maceration; in addition to softening the tannins, this process helps extract maximum color and flavor. Once the wine was gently pressed, it was racked to French oak barrels, 60% of which were new. The wine underwent the malolactic fermentation in barrels to "tame" the new barrel tannins and was then aged for 18 months before bottling.
