Local history study including church and castle

What will the children eat?



Breakfast: This consists of a selection of
cereals with brown and white toast, jams
and marmite. Fruit juice is served too.
Lunch: Roast Chicken, chicken pie, cottage
pie…secret desserts!
Dinner: giant fish-fingers, macaroni
cheese…secret desserts!
Where will the children sleep?
 All children will be asked to choose 3
friends they would like to share with
and we will try to accommodate. We
guarantee 1 friend in the room.
 Adults on every floor within easy
access of the children.
How will parents be kept informed?
Update on the school website at least once
per day

Kit List











A pair of indoor shoes (These shoes need to be safe to walk down an external fire
escape, plimsolls or similar are more suitable than slippers)
A waterproof coat
Outdoor shoes which could get muddy (Wellies are a really good idea)
Hat, gloves, scarves
Changes of clothes/underwear etc (old clothes are best, please avoid jeans as these
are uncomfortable when wet)
At least one warm jumper (think layers for the changeable weather!)
Night wear
Wash kit and distinctive towel
A water bottle
Medication which is clearly named (please give to Mrs Brough)
Up to £5 for the gift shop in a named purse/wallet/envelope (please give to Miss Sund)
Please do not bring:

Aerosol sprays, which set off the fire alarms.

Big floppy slippers, which are dangerous on the fire escapes.

Bedding – this is provided.

Mobile phones, electronic games, personal stereos etc

Too much! The bag(s) will need carrying up the stairs.
Please could you let us know if these is a chance of bed-wetting
Travel Arrangements
Outward
 Please arrive at the normal time of 8.50.
 Please place all bags (clearly named) in the red area next to Zebra
class, then proceed to Penguins for register.
 Coach will depart at 9.30
 Parents are welcome to wave us off from the front of school!
Return
 We will leave Burwell at 2pm, with an ETA of 3pm.
 Collection time will be 3.20pm to allow us to organise bags etc
 Please collect your child from the doors to Zebra class.
