Also, prepare for the most commonly asked questions by
inspectors, which include:
 How do you engage with external partners and agencies?
 What does inclusion mean to your academy and how is it
seen as a whole academy priority?
 How do you deal with social, emotional and behavioural
difficulties, as well as pastoral matters?
 How effectively are you using your SEN funding?
 How effective are your systems of communication about
SEN students?
Inform Your Governors
 Do your governors receive regular updates on SEN?

champions inclusion for all?

Finally
There is no separate judgement for special educational needs (SEN)
provision under the Ofsted inspection framework. SEN provision forms part of
whole-school inspection.
Paragraph 8 of the inspection framework explains that, when reporting,
inspectors must consider:
 The spiritual, moral, social and cultural (SMSC) development of pupils at
the school
 The extent to which the education provided by the school meets the
needs of the range of pupils at the school, and in particular the needs of
disabled pupils and those who have SEN
SEN provision forms part of the whole school inspection
