English Lacrosse Coach and Player Pathway
Vision
To have a fully integrated coach and player performance pathway by 2016
Aims
• To have Registered qualified coaches at all levels of the player pathway • To have a system of coach development that provides the right coach at the right place at the right time to all sections of the player pathway • To have a recognised system of player development for both women’s and men’s field lacrosse.

SCUK Long Term Coach Pathway
Training to Win
General Lacrosse Participant Pathway International Teams playing in European and World Competition. Supported by Regional/Territorial competition.
Training to Compete
Regional/Territorial Squads with paired Sport England Regions except South East as one. High performance competition with players selected from Clubs.
Interclub Competition at senior level.
Age group interclub competition organised regionally.
The balance of four coaching sessions to one competitive match should be insisted upon to ensure effective development of young people in Lacrosse.
Training to train
Regional Tournaments between Schools. Organised by Hub Schools which may be a Specialist Sports College or a Lacrosse playing School. Different levels dependant on the ability of the Schools. Club involvement in the organising of the competition
Learning to Train
Curriculum and extra curriculum delivery of Lacrosse through Teachers or Club Coaches. Club Coaches deliver more extra-curricular and link to club activity. Club Coaches support the linkage between Secondary School and Primary feeders
FUNdamentals
Lacrosse Club Coaches directly delivering into Schools with other sports to build generic skills.

Senior National Squads BNC England Under 19 Squad Senior Field Lacrosse Clubs and Universities U19 Regional Squads U19 & U15 Academy’s U16 Regional as required Junior Field Lacrosse in Schools and Clubs POP Lacrosse in Schools
