LESSONS LEARNT
1. High level involvement of key players i.e. UNDP,
MoDPC, PEI and implementing partners is key to
ensuring progress
2. Frequent interaction and interface with stakeholders is
vital for scheduled implementation of activities
3. There are high transaction costs to ensure the work is
done especially in the sectors. PEI invested a lot of time
and resources and in some instances hiring consultants
in the sectors where good progress has been registered

LESSONS LEARNT
4. Lead agency-implementing partner agreements
plus regular monitoring, communication and
information sharing is key to ensuring that the
project is on track
5. Realistic planning is vital for a project of this
nature. Some of the activities were heavily
underestimated on time and resources
