Goals of the Learning Commons • To create partnerships • To create areas for faculty to collaborate • To create flexible spaces for teaching and learning • To provide information services to the wide range of users in a variety of formats • To create an environment that is non-territorial and without boundaries
Potential Partners in the Commons • ITS • OSCAR • FACE • Veterans Affairs • School of Music • School of Education • Learning Center • Library • Career Services • Counseling Center • Media Center • Professional Development Center • Student Accounts • Registrar • Others?
Some partners, such as the Learning Center and the Professional Development Center would be housed in the library. Others would provide a scheduled time/place to provide services during the times of the semester that demand would be highest.
