Responsible for • Area planning • Infrastructure planning, implementation and operation & maintenance of services in the areas of • Water Supply, • Sewerage and Sanitation, • Solid Waste Management, • Roads and Transportation, • Street lighting, • Health and recreational facilities, • Education (134 primary and 18 secondary schools) • Preservation of natural heritage (river conservation), • Development of housing facility for urban poor/ slums.
