HEALTHY SCHOOL
• We are part of the Healthy Schools Network
• As we are aiming for Healthy Schools
Enhancement, children are provided with fruit
in the morning and they may bring in a
healthy snack for the afternoon.
• We will be continuing to hold a Fairtrade tuck
shop once a term

HOMEWORK
• The children will take home a reading book 3
times a week.
• Homework for phonics (literacy) and maths
will either be set on Education City for a
period of 2 weeks or will be a written task to
be handed in.
• As the year progresses, topic based homework
will be set – this should last approximately 10
minutes.
• Homework will be on a sticker or clipped into
home contact books.
ABSENCE
• Please notify the school by telephone before
8.50am
• If your child is sick, they should be kept home
for 48 hours
• If your child arrives after the register has been
taken, please ensure you sign them in, in the
school office
• Requests for Annual leave – appointment to
see Mr Sherhod
• Pupil attendance target is 96%+
