Babasının sözünü dinlemedi büyük lojistik firması oldu
Önce, Büyükbaba Ökkeş Barlık, 'şehirlerarası' taşımacılık
yapmış. 70 yıl önce işini oğlu Abdülkadir Barlık'a devretmiş.
Abdülkadir Barlık, işi sürdürmüş ama ağır koşulları yüzünden
çocuklarını bu işten uzak tutmaya karar vermiş.
Eyüp Barlık bu yüzden önce taşımacılık işine başlamamış ama
zamanla, kan çekmiş, alışkanlıklar mı bilinmez, o da yedek
parça işini bırakıp nakliyeye girmiş.
Bugün 65 araçla, dünyanın 50 ülkesine taşımacılık yapıyor.

Çin'de tersane kuracak...
Ali Kemal Akbaşoğlu, 1970'de kurduğu
Akbaşoğlu Denizcilik'te yönetimi oğullarına
devretmiş. Oğulları da 2004 yılında, 'kritik' bir
karar alarak uzak ufuklara yelken açmışlar.
Metin Akbaşoğlu anlatıyor: "Dünyada gemi
yapacak yer sayısı azaldı. Dünyanın devleri
Kore'ye, Japonya'ya gidiyor. Biz de Çin'de
üreteceğiz"

Erkek hazır giyiminin önde gelen markalarından Kiğılı'nın
patronu Abdullah Kiğılı, perakende dünyasının önde gelen
isimlerinden.
19 Ocak 1959 tarihinde Sultanhamam'daki kumaş
mağazasında ticaret hayatına atılan Kiğılı, 1965 yılında
Kiğılı markası ile gömlek ve pantolon üretimine başlamış.
Çok zor telaffuz edildiği için soyadını bir marka haline
getirmek Kiğılı'nın yaklaşık 40 yılını almış.
Ancak, Kiğılı bu durumun avantajını da belirtmeden
geçmiyor : "Çabuk okunanlar kadar zor okunan markalar da
akılda kalır."
