Agreeing Themes for our Work
during 2014 – 2015
Vanessa Barrett
Our function is to give people a voice and
help them get the best out of local health
and social care services. We do this by:
Gathering information and opinions about local services. We go out
into communities and hold local meetings to gather evidence and ask for opinions on
specific issues.
Recruiting volunteers to ensure we can offer a ‘lay person’s’ perspective
Organising Enter and View visits to local services including hospitals, care
homes, GP and dental surgeries, social care and community health services
Providing a ‘signposting’ to services
to the public who contact us
