Teddy Bears Picnic
Governors
A vacancy has arisen for a parent Governor to join
our Governing body. Further information will be sent
out about this early in the new Autumn term. Mrs
Myerscough has left the Governing body and we
thank her for all her hard work and commitment
during her time of office.
School lunch on Friday 15th
July will be a teddy bears
picnic with sandwiches,
cucumber and carrot sticks,
potato wedges & iced buns.
Bring your teddy for lunch!
Staffing
We welcome Mrs Lumb back
to school next Monday. She
will be returning 3 days a
week into Class 4 until the
summer holidays and Mrs
Chatterley will continue with
2 days until the summer
holidays.
Sport
Our tennis team competed in
a tournament last week and
came second so well done to
them. They played really
well and were a real credit
to our school. Well done!
Sports Day Reminder
Sports day will be held on Tuesday
5th July weather permitting! Parents
are invited to watch the afternoon
events and proceedings will start at
1pm. It would be really helpful if
parents could bring garden chair /
rug, if you have any suitable, as
timings are tight getting through
lunch and setting up for the
afternoon. Thanks
French Day
We had a fantastic French day in school and the
children all looked fantastic in their French
attire. We enjoyed playing boules, eating and
drinking in our French café, painting in Claude
Monet style and building Eiffel towers from
chocolate fingers, marshmallows & spaghetti!
Jean Christophe Nouvelli enjoyed his tour around
our school and we also welcomed the Mayor and
Mayoress of Allerdale. A fantastic day was had
by all and special thanks to Mrs. Spiers for all
her organisational skills!
Auction of promises
The auction of promises will be held this
Saturday evening starting at 7pm in the
school hall. Please bring food to share
(preferably finger food), own drinks and
your cheque book! Please support us if
you can! Thanks
