About Your Presenter
Ben Shaffer, APM
Accounts Payable Manager, Pacific Gas & Electric Company
Ben is the Accounts Payable Manager for Pacific Gas & Electric Company
(PG&E) in San Francisco, Ca. He is responsible for external payments to
vendors and other payees, employee expense reimbursements, P-Card and CCard program administration, escheatment, and accounting records
management. He directs a staff of 24 management and union-represented
employees with an annual budget of $2.5 million
Ben has more than 28 years of experience in accounting, finance, supply
chain, and information systems and has been directly responsible for
conceiving and leading PG&E’s automation and business process
improvement initiatives in Accounts Payable as well as other areas in finance
and supply chain. Ben holds a degree in Economics from the University of
California at Berkeley and is a certified APM.
