 3 methods for VAT compliance
– Electronic signature, EDI, Process controls
– Explicitly expressed acceptance of the recipient needed
before sending the first invoice
 Specific:
– Requires recording of date & time of sending AND
receiving the invoice
– Invoices must be archived in the same format as they
were sent
– Authenticity of the sender and integrity of the content
must also be ensured during the invoice transmission
– Uncertainty regarding the tax audit requirements
