SCHOOL DRESS CODE AND UNIFORM POLICY

School Dress Code and Uniform Policy COLORS:

Burgundy or white must be worn above the waist and gray pants ONLY

School Dress Code and Uniform Policy PANTS AND SHORTS: • No more than 2 inches larger than waist size • No longer than 1 inch above the ground • May not be folded, tied or have rubber bands • Use belt and worn at waist • Shorts not below the knees or shorter than mid thigh • N0 SAGGING

School Dress Code and Uniform Policy BELTS: Belts may not have an initial or insignia on the buckle and no longer than 3 inches at the waist .

SKIRTS: Gray and no shorter than mid-thigh. Plaid skirts are allowed.

SHIRTS AND BLOUSES: All shirts and blouses must have:

Sleeves, collar and must be white or burgundy.

Undershirt must be white and should not hang beneath the uniform shirt.

Low cut blouses are not allowed

SWEATERS AND JACKETS: White, Burgundy and ash gray only. No black, charcoal or dark gray allowed. Solid colors only.

BACKPACKS: No graffiti. Name only in bottom right hand side of the front of the backpack.

School Dress Code and Uniform Policy PIERCING/TATTOO POLICY GIRLS PIERCINGS NO FACIAL PIERCINGS ARE ALLOWED EXCESSIVELY LARGE HOOP EARRINGS ARE NOT ALLOWED BOYS PIERCINGS PLUGS, SPIKES OR ANY KIND OF EAR PIERCINGS SIMILAR TO THESE ARE NOT ALLOWED NO FACIAL PIERCINGS ARE ALLOWED NO VISIBLE TATTOOS ARE ALLOWED STUDENTS WILL BE ASKED TO REMOVE PIERCINGS THE FIRST TIME. SCHOOL BEHAVIOR STANDARDS

WEAPONS OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING KNIVES AND GUNS ARE PROHIBITED.

STUDENTS WILL BE RECOMMENDED FOR EXPULSION IF THEY BRING A WEAPON TO SCHOOL.

CLASSROOM BEHAVIOR STANDARDS

1.ENTER CLASSROOM QUIETLY 2.FOOD, DRINKS AND ICE ARE NOT ALLOWED 3.THE BELL IS NOT A REASON TO LEAVE CLASS. WAIT FOR YOUR TEACHER’S INSTRUCTIONS

P.E. DRESS AND ATTENDANCE POLICY

RULE: Any student who shows up late or does not dress for P.E., will be given an After School Detention.

Students who show up late or do not have P.E. clothes, are given a detention slip which the student has to take home, have their parents sign and return.

P.E. teachers keep a period-by-period log of these students names.

The list is sent to the Dean's office where it is recorded on their record and detentions summons are issued.

Habitual repeaters will be issued Saturday Detention (SELAP).

UNIFORM VIOLATION POLICY

RULE: Those students that are continually in violation of the dress code will lose their right to a free dress day.

Parents in the front desk will keep record of the students that are always being sent to them for uniform violations.

When the students has several violations, they will create a list that will be turned in to Maria Sanchez, previous to next free dress day. On free dress day, we will verify that the student complies by wearing their school uniform.

Violations to this rule will result in after school detention (ASD) or Saturday Detention (SELAP).

Parent Center will give the offending students a Parent letter indicating that their child will not have free dress day.
