Don’t Make It A Grad To
Forget
Visual Rhetoric Powerpoint
By: K Bishop
Background Information
• Made by Mothers
Against Drunk
Driving.
What is the appeal to logos?
• I think the appeal to
logos is that it isn’t
smart to drink and
drive. When you drink
and drive you loose
you sense of
judgment and you can
make poor choices
that can end in death.
What is the appeal to ethos?
• I think the appeal to
ethos is that if you
drink and drive you
could be throwing
away not only your
future but other
people’s too.
What is the appeal to pathos?
• I think the appeal to
pathos is that mothers
don’t want to loose
their babies,
especially before they
have their chance to
chase their dreams.
Who is the audience?
• I think the audience is
to teens and mothers.
It shows what can
happen if you drink
and drive and it
reiterates to mothers
to warn their kids
about the effects of
drunk driving.
What is the focus?
• The focus is the
picture frame. It
resembles a broken
car windshield. The
girl is also in her
graduation robe. It
symbolizes that she
just graduated but her
dreams were taken
away.
What aesthetics are there?
• There is a phrase in
the bottom right
corner next to the
ad’s logo. It says,
“Don’t make it a grad
to forget.” It means
don’t let someone or
yourself drink and
drive because
graduation is
supposed to be a
happy celebration.
