Develop the next generation wired standard
for Cabin Inflight Entertainment System to
provide System Level Plug and Play (SLPP)

Next Generation Definition:
IFE suppliers are already developing 2nd Gen. systems.
Dynamic nature of IFE Industry - Systems get updated every 3 to 4
years.
Target the next generation for 3 to 4 years from now so that
everyone can migrate towards the standard without adverse impacts
to their current products.
This Standard will be of great benefit for airlines, airframers and
suppliers.
This will be the third generation, with an effectivity of 2004+
Standards life span – need to define by types

Develop call for contributions on requirements
Solicit Requirements contributions
Develop (Create, review, update, approve) requirements

Develop a set of Guidelines & Recommendations
ARINC CEI Scope of work:
- Develop call for contributions to the standard
- Solicit contributions to the standard
- Evaluate contributions & develop the standard
