2. 倍数的翻译（增加、减少）
• A是B的……倍：A is …times larger (bigger, higher, faster,
etc.) than B, A is …times as large as B
e.g. Their output this year is three times larger than that of
last year.

• A比B小……倍：A is …times smaller (less, lower, slower,

局）of the 110th session of the Canton Fair will remain the same as
that of the 109th session. With an exhibition area（展览总面积）of
1.16 million square meters, this session has 58,714 exhibition stands
（展位）, an increase of 15 compared with that of the last session,
attracting 24,231 exhibiting enterprises from both home and abroad
（境内外参展企业）.
There are 57,836 exhibition stands in the National Pavilion（出口展
区）, an increase of 10 compared with that of the previous session, and
23,702 exhibiting enterprises, among which 1,911 are brand
enterprises（品牌企业）.
This session of Canton Fair will continue to set up the International
Pavilion（进口展区）in the first and third phase. With an exhibition
area of 20,000 square meters, the International Pavilion will have 878
stands, an increase of 5 compared with that of the last session.
The 110th session of the Canton Fair continues to enlarge the
number of overseas buyers being invited. We have sent invitations to
997,000 oversea buyers, an increase of 5% compared with the last
session. To better promote the fair, advertisements and 700,000
promotional materials in ten languages has been produced and placed
on 440 overseas media of 28 countries and regions.
