 The Volvo CE MASTERS competition is a
demanding skills competition open to
technicians of authorized Volvo CE dealers
 The main goal of the Volvo CE MASTERS is to
increase the interest, knowledge and skills in
relation to Volvo CE products amongst service
and parts technicians, worldwide
 The competition is also a way for Volvo CE to
show appreciation to dealers and their
technicians (parts & service) for their important
contribution to our business

Volvo CE MASTERS history
 The MASTERS was initially conducted in 1990 as
a part of the 30 year anniversary of Volvo CE
Service Training
 From 1990 to 1996 it was structured as individual
competitions among service technicians
 In 1998 service technicians began competing in
teams
 Since 2000 the teams consist of both parts and
service technicians in regional and global finals
 The Volvo CE MASTERS is arranged by the global
and regional “After Sales” training organizations

 Volvo CE MASTERS 2013-2014 will start in Q22013 and will be open for all parts and service
technicians at authorized Volvo CE dealers
 The Masters will be organized in different rounds,
starting at the dealer level and then leading up to
the regional final

Americas
APAC
 Each region will organize and manage their own
regional competitions
 From the four regional competitions, two teams
from each region will qualify for the Global final in
Sweden to be held during the summer of 2014

 The competitions will be comprised of a mix of
theoretical questions and practical tasks
 The first round(s) on dealer/country level will consist
of theoretical questions and the participants will
compete on an individual basis through a webbased system
 The highest-scoring technicians (parts & service)
from each participating dealer will form a team that
will represent the dealer in the hub/region final
 In the hub/region and global finals the competition
will be both theoretical and practical

Global Final
 A variety of Volvo products will be used in the final
 The competing teams will be judged on a scale of
performance wherein not only their technical and
parts systems knowledge and skills are evaluated,
but also, judging of the proper handling of tools and
demonstration of Volvo’s core values will occur
 After 1-2 days of competition a final ceremony will
be held during which the Volvo CE Masters
