nationally recognized certification/credential/degree

employment goals; use of assessments in developing academic and
career plan

The College Transition Class provides an opportunity for learners, who
have graduated high school or attained their GED, to build the skills
necessary to move forward in their education. College is challenging for
most students; however, those who have been out of school for awhile or
away from a traditional school setting face an even greater challenge. The
focus of this class is work with students to build up their knowledge in the
areas of mathematics, reading, and writing. The hope is that after
completion of the class, students will be ready to enter college level
classes and be successful. It is also pertinent that time is spent helping
the learners to gain "college-ready" skills that will allow them to be better
prepared to enroll in college.
