The Home Tab is by far the most important tab in
Microsoft Excel 2007
It contains all the commands that are commonly used
This includes formatting, alignment, inserting and
deleting rows or columns, sorting and filtering numbers
In addition you can apply graphical styles, conditional
formatting effects and have the ability to find and
replace text
For this lesson, we will be using a Grade Book from one
of my classes
Let’s take a look at the Workbook data – rows/cols





This group includes commands like Cut, Copy and
Paste
Using the Cut (keyboard shortcut is Ctrl+X) command
you can remove data
You can also use the Copy (Ctrl+C) command to do the
same. However Copy will leave the original data in
place
Using the Paste (Ctrl+V) command, you can then insert
data to a new location
Using these commands, I am going to add a new
student (row 15) and add Chapter 6 points (column H)
