• Take 7 minutes to carefully read the entire passage.
• If you see a word you don’t understand, keep reading
and use context clues to guess the word’s meaning.
• There will be 5 questions this week.
• You will have 2 minutes to work on each question individually.
• You will have 1 minute to work on each question as a group.
#1 – After reading paragraphs 1-4,
what do we know about Mercedes?
A – Mercedes doesn’t understand how to
operate a dog sled.
