Family Educational Rights & Privacy Act - 1976

The primary rights afforded to the student are: – The right to inspect and review their education records.

– The right to have some control over the disclosure of information from the records.

– The right for the student to retain control of access to education records.

Enrollment Verification

• Primarily for insurance purposes • Certificates can be obtained by the student from The Depot link on myACU • Verification for each semester begins two weeks before the first day of class

Dropping / Withdrawing

Dropping a Course – Day 1-5: “drop”; no transcript record, does not count against “block” – Beginning Day 6: “withdraw”; student uses withdrawal form, ‘W’ on transcript, counts against “block” – No drop/withdrawal after week 12; student earns grade

Withdrawing from the University

What does this entail?

– Dropping of all classes and leaving ACU – Student receives W grades – Student can contact The Depot

A Few Things to Remember

• Be aware of the academic calendar.

• Remind your student about ACU email.

• Students who are responsible for their own business learn problem solving skills that are very important.

• ACU is a great place for students to make mistakes.
