Parent teacher conferences are held together.

The purpose of this presentation is to provide you with an overview of the rules, expectations, and activities of your fifth graders in both of our classrooms. This is an important, transitional year for your child and if we all work together, all students will reach their highest potential!

Agendas, Behavior, and Recess

     Agendas - Agendas are to be initialed by a guardian every night after all homework has been completed. Please check your child’s agenda for completion, highlighted homework assignments, and comments before signing it. Behavior – Each student will start off the week with three numbers in the top of their agenda. Each time they break a rule or fail to turn in homework, they will be asked to cross off a number. Next to each number we will note which rule was broken. Please initial that you have seen and discussed each number that has been crossed off. If all three numbers are crossed off by the end of the week, they will have an extra assignment over the weekend to reflect on their behavior. You will need to sign this extra assignment. Students will also cross out a number for misbehaving during fire/tornado drills, assemblies, lunchtime, or at specials classes.

Severe behavior problems (fighting, swearing) will be sent to the office immediately and eliminated from Fun Friday. Recess- Our 5 th graders have a daily recess. Dress accordingly!
