WHAT HAPPENED AT THE CROSS?
• 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of
Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us
for the things done while in the body, whether good
or bad. 2 Cor 5 v 10
WHAT HAPPENED AT THE CROSS?
• 10 As it is written:
• “There is no one righteous, not even one;
11
there is no one who understands;
there is no one who seeks God.
12 All have turned away,
they have together become worthless;
there is no one who does good,
not even one.”
• 20 Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by
observing the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of
our sin.

WHAT HAPPENED AT THE CROSS?
• 20 Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight
by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become
conscious of our sin.
• 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
• BUT
• 21 But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has
been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets
testify. 22 This righteousness is given through faith in[h] Jesus
Christ to all who believe.
What happened at the cross?
• 21 God made him who had no sin to be sin[b] for us, so
that in him we might become the righteousness of
God. 2 Cor 5 v21
• 4 Now to the one who works, wages are not credited
as a gift but as an obligation. 5 However, to the one
who does not work but trusts God who justifies the
ungodly, their faith is credited as righteousness.
Romans 4 v 4
WHAT HAPPENED AT THE CROSS?
• 25 God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement,[i]
through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith.
He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his
forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand
unpunished— 26 he did it to demonstrate his righteousness
at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies
those who have faith in Jesus. Romans 3
WHAT HAPPENED AT THE CROSS?
• I will greatly bless you, and I will greatly multiply your seed as the stars
of the heavens and as the sand which is on the seashore; and your
seed shall possess the gate of their enemies. 18 In your seed all the
nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My
voice.” Genesis 22 v 17-18
WHAT HAPPENED AT THE CROSS?
• 26 So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, 27 for all
of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with
Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor
is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 If you
belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to
the promise. Galatians 3 26-29
