Questions?
7- Step Home Facial
Step 1 - Cleanse
• Remove dirt, makeup and impurities from
the skin’s surface with essential oil.
• To 1 oz Fractionated Coconut Oil add 6 –
10 drops of one or a combination of
these oils: Clary Sage, Geranium,
Lavender, Lemon, Rosemary, or Thyme.
• Blend oils in an amber bottle for easier
use and apply to the face. Gently wipe
off with a warm, wet cloth.
Step 2 - Scrub
Scrubs help to gently exfoliate (slough off)
dead skin cells that can contribute to acne,
dryness and wrinkles. Apply a scrub after
cleansing face, to remove impurities, 2 – 3
times a week. Only use warm water. If your
skin is sensitive, avoid using abrasive scrubs.
Scrubs help to stimulate circulation to the
face.
Step 2 - Scrub
Extra Gentle Scrub
Pour 2 teaspoons baking soda into hand. Add essential oils
and a little water to make a paste. Apply scrub, massaging
in a circular motion, leave on 3 - 5 minutes . Rinse well with
warm water, pat face dry.
Other Scrubs
Use ½ teaspoon cornmeal (blue is finest), flaxseed meal or
oatmeal, and 1-2 drops of Clary Sage, Geranium, Lavender or
Ylang Ylang oil, add water to make a paste. Apply scrub,
massaging in a circular motion, leave on 3 -5 minutes. Rinse
well with warm water, pat face dry.
For Dry Skin: add egg yolk to 1 teaspoon chickpea flour, 1
teaspoon honey, 1 drop Lavender oil. Apply over face and
neck for 20 minutes then wash well and pat dry.
Step 3 – Face Massage
Massage improves circulation bringing blood to
the facial skin and improving the complexion.
Increased blood flow helps tone and relax facial
muscles and adding a lustrous glow to the skin
while flushing toxins. Massage face 2 – 3 times a
week.
Add 6 – 10 drops essential oil to 1 oz
Fractionated Coconut Oil. Choose oil appropriate
to skin type.
Apply appropriate oil over face and neck following
the massage guideline. Repeat steps 4 times.
Step 4 - Steam
A steam will aromatically help to
cleanse pores, moisturize skin and
improve facial circulation. Inhaling
essential oils may be beneficial in
alleviating: anxiety, colds, flu,
respiratory ailments, stress and
sinusitis. Steaming the face once a
week and following with a mask will
increase the effectiveness of the mask
to rid impurities.
Use oils for your skin type.
Step 4 – Steam Recipes
Lavender Steam
• 4 Cups warm water
• 6 – 8 drops Lavender Oil
Bring 2 cups water to boil, remove from heat. Add Lavender
Oil to remaining 2 cups water. Combine in large bowl and
commence steaming.
Citrus Steam
• 4 cups warm water
• 1 lemon cut in ¼ inch slices
• 4 drops Wild Orange Oil
Bring 2 cups water to boil, add lemon slices steeping for 1
minute. Add Wild Orange Oil to remaining 2 cups water.
Combine in large bowl and commence steaming.
Step 5 - Mask
Masks offer many benefits to the skin; cleansing
pores, clearing acne, moisturizing, nourishing,
helping skin elasticity and preventing wrinkles
while rejuvenating and exfoliating.
Agave or Honey Soufflé Mask
• 1 egg white
• 1 teaspoon agave or honey
• 2 drops Lavender Oil
Beat egg white until frothy, fold in agave/honey
and Lavender. Apply mask to face and neck, wait
10 minutes. Rinse with warm water.
Step 5 – Mask Recipes
Banana Agave or Honey Mask
• 1 ripe banana
• 1 teaspoon agave or honey
• 2 drops Lavender or Ylang Ylang Oil
Mash together, adding more agave/honey if needed for
creamy texture. Apply to face and neck, wait 10 minutes.
Rinse with warm water.
Dry or Mature Skin Mask
• 1 teaspoon agave or honey
• 1 drop Frankincense
• 1 drop Sandalwood
Mix in palm of hand and apply to skin, wait 10 minutes.
Rinse with warm water.
Step 6 - Toner
Toners help to tighten skin by restoring elasticity. They
also help to refresh skin. Toners can be applied
everyday after cleansing as they allow for better
absorption of moisturizers.
Minty Toner
• 6 -8 drops Peppermint Oil
• 8 oz distilled water
Pour into spray bottle, mix and sprits on face.
Lavender Lemongrass Toner
• 2 drops Lavender
• 2 drops Lemongrass
• 8 oz distilled water
Pour into spray bottle, mix and sprits on face.
Step 7 - Moisturize
Apply single oils or oil blends on face. Using

oil. Pre-mix 4-6 drops of oil for your skin type in an
amber bottle with 2 oz Fractionated Coconut Oil.
Apply liberally and massage into face and neck.

Special Tips for Acne
To Help End or Avoid Acne:
• Cleanse the colon, the kidneys and the liver.
• Avoid fried foods, sugar, dairy, alcohol, coffee, tea,
chocolate and high sugar fruit.
• Use Mineral Makeup to avoid cosmetics containing
colors, dyes, fragrances and preservatives.
• Eat wholesome nutritious foods – lots of vegetables.
• Cleanse face 2 times daily. Spot treat blemishes
with essential oils throughout the day.
• Follow a weekly regime of cleaning, scrubbing,
massaging, steaming, masking, toning, and
moisturizing.
Step 3 – Massage Guideline
• Begin at base of neck under chin and stroke up to top
of ear.
• Start at jaw and move our hands to corner of the
mouth; to the corner of the nose; cheekbone; then up
to the temple and middle of forehead.
• Make a circle from inner corners of the eyes and under
your eyes.
• Massage above upper lip to outside of the mouth.
• Stroke forehead upward to hairline.
• Massage head by gently tapping the head all over,
stimulating circulation. Rub along the scalp and
gently move scalp over the head. Gently tug on hair
from the roots to relieve muscle tension.
Step 4 – Steam Guidelines
• Steam after cleanse, scrub and face massage.
• Steam face by draping a towel over head and a large bowl to
catch the steam or use a store bought steamer. Hold face
over steam about 12 inches away from water – warning hot
– relax for 10 minutes with eyes closed.
• Rinse with cool water or massage with ice cold cloth.
For very dry or sensitive skin use a hot compress as an
alternative to steam. Immerse washcloth in hot water with
essential oil, wring out, apply to face and repeat as cloth
cools.
