ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR
May 7, 2014
Attention 8th Graders – are you
interested in speaking at Recognition
Night? If so, please turn in your speech
to Mrs. Lueders by next Monday,
May 12. This year’s theme is “How will
you create a ROAR in the future?”
8TH GRADERS!
Promotion Night tickets
must be picked up by a
parent/guardian during
school hours –
7:30am – 3:30pm
The 8th grade dance will be Friday, May 16th
from 5-7pm. Tickets will be on sale 5/13,
5/14, & 5/15. Tickets must be purchased
before the dance- no tickets will be sold at
the door. Tickets are $5.00
Would you like to make a little extra money this summer?
Are you 13 years or older? (have to be 13 years old to complete
paper work
Doing what: Detasseling Corn
If you are interested in making some extra money, stop in the office
to pick up a brochure with more information. There is a mandatory
organizational meeting you and your parent will need to attend.
8th Graders:
Don’t forget the Dance Skills Workshop tonight
at OHS tonight & tomorrow, May 8th from 5:307:30 PM in the Fieldhouse. Cost is $10 per
dancer. No pre-registration is required. Practice
and receive feedback on skills needed for
upcoming dance team tryouts. See Ms. Meenan
with any questions.
TRACK MEMBERS
Please bring your washed uniform and
warm up to one of the coaches this week.
It should be in a plastic bag with your name
on the outside.
Attention all 7th graders…DON’T BE LEFT BEHIND!!
Sign up for the Washington DC trip before June 5 and receive the early
registration discount. This is the trip of a lifetime. Tour our nation’s capital
and see your government at work. Visit the Holocaust Museum and three
of the Smithsonian museums. Have a pool party with your friends and see
a play at the Kennedy center. Visit several important monuments and
memorials. Get started with an early registration fee of $49 by June 5th.

Texting is NOT
permitted during school
hours. If you are not
feeling well, you must be
seen by the nurse!!
BUS NOTES
When you need to bring a friend home on the
bus or you are riding home with a friend, you
both have to have a signed note by your
parent or guardian. The note must have the
date, first and last names of you and your
friend and bus number. Bring the note to the
main office for approval in the morning.
Phone calls will not be accepted!
A COUPLE OF REMINDERS!
- In order to come to the office,
you need a Pass from your
teacher. Do not stop in the
office during passing period.
- If you forgot something at
home and you need to call mom
or dad, leave a message don’t
call and hang up without letting
them know what you need.
